As I was looking through my scraps I found all kinds of different items that were autumn like. So since on the 22nd of this month (September 2021) it will officially be Autumn, I decided to use the scraps for Autumn and Thanksgiving cards. I am aware that you do not have the same scraps however, the idea is to offer ideas that you can change up as you create.
In honor of Sraptember!
I found a pumpkin die made out of 3 2″ circles of orange plaid cardstock. I am not sure where this die came from and am certain I have had it for some time now. The 3 circles are glued together to make one nice size pumpkin. The edges are faux stitched with green leaves.
I also found a rectangle that I had ran though my die machine using the contour dies. that rectangle measured 4″ x 5″ and was a leaf pattern. It also had scallops around the edges. I used that leaf scalloped rectangle as my card base. The I also found a rectangle that was white that had been cut with a smaller contour die. This rectangle was a white scrap. It did appear that this white rectangle had been dry embossed with the forest folder. Sol I layered the white rectangle on the printed rectangle. Then I glued using dimensionals, the plaid pumpkin die on the bottom of the layered rectangles. These rectangles were glued onto a top folding 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 orange (Pumpkin Pie) card.
Out of another scrap of autumn print card stock I cut the letters “F”, “A”, “L”, “L”, using my playful Alphabet dies.
** I think I will try to recreate that pumpkin using my 2″ circle punch.
