I got inspiration from a free card sketch from OPI and a OSW video. I did not follow the sketch very much.
Items used:
- Real Red card stock #102482
- Basic White card stock #159276
- Poinsettia ephemera from my stash
- Scraps of Evening Evergreen #155574
- Scalloped Contour Dies #155560
- Garden Green ink pad #147089
- holly leaves and berries from my stash
I used the real Red cardstock to make my 5 1/2″ x 8″ base. I then scored the base at 4 1/4″. I folded the card.
I cut a 4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White card stock and cut it on a diagonal. I adhered it to the top of card leaving a margin of the red card base. Then I used a 1/2″ strip of Evening Evergreen and glued it towards the bottom of the white diagonal and across the card.
I decorated with some poinsettia ephemera. I also die cut a sentiment strip out of Basic White with the smallest scalloped contour die. Then in Garden Green In I stamped “Seasons Greetings”. I had a green bow sticker and some holly ephemera that I added.
I added some small banners at the top right hand corner to finish the card.
Now all I have to do is send it to someone special at Christmas.
