I am almost finished with my Christmas cards and thought I would use some scraps. I gathered a strip of silver foil, the last 3 of my black brads, some Basic Gray cardstock, Basic Gray ink, black twine, a piece of polka dotted DSP, and a small piece of gray striped DSP.
I cut the Basic Gray card stock (#121044 on page 122 of annual catalog) 4″ x 5 1/4″. Then I cut a piece of some polka dotted DSP to 3 6/8″ x 5″. I adhered that to the Basic Gray card stock leaving about a 1/8″ margin.
I had some brads, 3 to be exact, that I have had from who knows when. I was excited to use them on the card. I placed them on the upper right-hand side of polka dotted DSP and Basic Gray cardstock. Then I adhered all this to my white A-2 White card base.
I cut a foil strip to 4 1/8″ x 1 1/2″. I used my Taylor Made punch (#145667 page 149 in annual catalog), to create a banner. I then cut the gray striped strip to 4″x 1″. I layered the striped strip on the foil strip. Adhered the layered strip vertically to the left side of the card.
I used my oval dies to cut a large oval out of the Basic Gray card stock. I adhered a slightly smaller oval to the gray oval. Before adhering the white oval to the gray oval I stamped the sentiment “here for you” from the So Much Love stamp set. (Any sentiment you have is fine. I also used a stamp with dots to stamp dots on white oval drawing the sentiment together with the polka dotted card stock. Then using dimensionals I attached the oval with the sentiment to the card. Used black twine (#155475 on page 140 in annual catalog) to tie a bow which will finish the sentiment oval.
I don’t have a reason but I used the foil piece from making the banner and placed it at the bottom of the card. Actually, I think This card with a different sentiment would be lovely as a anniversary card. You could change up the card any way you wish.
