I titled this card “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” because I has the sun and a rainbow on the front. I think it evokes a happy feeling.
To make this slime line card you will need:
- Basic white cardstock (#159276). Cut 7″ x 6-1/4″ and with the 7″ side facing up on trimmer (#152392) score at 3-1/2″. Fold and secure with bone folder (#102300).
- Pool Party cardstock (#122924) cut to 6″ x 3-1/4″
- The green side of one of the sheets of the Sunshine and Rainbows DSP (#158126) *** Now free as part of Sale a-bration that ends February 28, 2022.***
- Basic Borders dies (#155558). I used the one that looks like clouds.
- A rainbow. I cut one from one of the sheets from Sunshine and Rainbows DSP (#158126). Either a stamped image of the sun or any ephemera or sticker that looks like a sun. I used a sticker from a past Paper Pumpkin.
- Gemstones or rhinestones of your choice.
- Any stamp you chose to stamp your sentiment. I used one that said “sunshine”. I used the stamp from “Walk in the Woods” stamp set (#152618) that stated “Wishing you every kind of wonderful” for the sentiment inside.
- Basic White cardstock (##159276) cut to 1-1/4″ x 2-1/2″ for sentiment on the front of the card.
- Adhesive of your choice.
To put all together I adhered the rectangle of Pool Party cardstock on the front of the folded card leaving an even margin all around the card.
Then I adhered the sun sticker on the upper left of the front of the card. Then on the upper right side of the card I adhered the rainbow
With the cloud shaped die, I cut the green DSP so that it resembled hills. After running through my die machine, I ended up with 2 pieces, so I layered them and used as grassy hills. Of course, I adhered them to the bottom part of the card.
With a small piece of white scrap paper, I cut a cloud shape and adhered it to one side of the rainbow.
Then I stamped the word “Sunshine” on the Basic White strip.
Then embellishing began.
