Today I put away my shiny embellishments and pulled out my Tranquil Thoughts Stamp Set and the Sunshine and Rainbows Designer Series Paper—it’s time for some simple stamping!
I cut Basic White cardstock (# 159276) to 7″ x 6-1/4″ and with the 7″ side at the top of my trimmer I scored at 3-1/2″. Once I secured the fold my mini slim card was ready to be decorated. I did trim the front of card base 1/2″ (on the side that opens the card).
I then cut three 2 ” x 2″ squares out of the Designer Series Paper. I cut three smaller squares (1-3/4″ x 1-3/4″) out of paper I felt would go with the larder squares. I adhered the smaller squares on the larger squares. I glued one square at the top of the front of the card and another at the bottom. I did adhere them at a slant for visual interest. Then I adhered the third square in the middle of the card.
Next, I stamped in Night of Navy (# “I47110) “Thought of You Today” on a piece of Basic White cardstock. I layer this sentiment strip on a strip of the Costal Cabana stripe from the large striped paper in the designer series paper.
On the inside of the card, I stamped again using the Tranquil Thoughts stamp set, “It Happens More Often Than You Know”. The ink I used was Night of Navy. Also, on the right-hand side of the inside of the card I used a yellow strip of the striped designer series paper to decorate the edge. This will also finish the design from the outside.
Now I used some heart shapes I had left from the Suite Talk Suite and adhered then to the upper right corner of the frontside of the card.
