This is a card made as a sample of the Sketchy Saturday Challenge posted on Facebook at Rita’s Paper Motif.

The sample card is a mini slim line card. My mini slim line cards start as a 7″ x 6-1/2″ piece of cardstock. With the 7″ side facing upward the cardstock is scored at 3-1/2″ and then folded. These cards fit nicely in a #8 envelope.
The sample card was made by cutting a 4″ x 1/4″ strip of Misty Moonlight, Just Jade, Bumble Bee, and Magenta Madness card stock. These colors will not be available after April 30, 2022, but any colors can be used.
Basic White card stock (#159276) was cut to 3″ x 5-1/4″. A large circle was cut out Just Jade cardstock. That circle was cut with the largest layering circle die. The next smallest die from the layering circle dies was used to cut a white circle.
A piece of Basic White card stock measuring 4″ x 5″ was used to make designer paper. One of the large flower stamps from the In Bloom (#154380) stamp set (on the last chance list), was inked in Magenta Madness ink and randomly stamped on this piece of Basic White cardstock. Then once the stamp was cleaned the same stamp was inked in Bumble Bee (also on last chance list) and randomly stamped on piece of white cardstock. The smaller flower shaped stamp was inked in Magenta Madness and Bumble Bee and randomly stamped on this same piece of white card stock. Once the stamping of the flowers was completed the leaf stamp was inked in Just Jade and randomly stamped on this piece of paper. Finally, the small slim leaf from this stamp set was inked in Just Jade and randomly stamped on the white card stock. Then this decorated cardstock was cut to measure 3-1/8″ x 2″.
The strips were attached in a vertical fashion at the left-hand side of the card. Then the decorated piece of cardstock wad adheres across the strips about midway on card front.
“Congrats ” sentiment was stamped on the white circle. The white circle was adhered on the larger Just Jade circle. Dimensionals were used to attach the layered circle on the right-hand side of the card. then the sentiment circle was decorated with flowers that were die cut from the In Bloom Dies.
A 6″ x 3″ piece of Basic White card stock was stamped with “You are amazing” and adhered to the inside of the card.
The idea of this challenge is to inspire you to create your own card. It can be an A2 card or a slim line. It is totally up to you.
These particular colors were used but will be retiring and not available as of April 30, 2022. You are encouraged to use the ink, paper and stamps you have.
