Simply Fabulous
Recently I was looking through my “to use” basket on my crafting desk. I was happy to find this stamp set “Simply Fabulous”.
I absolutely love this stamp set and was happy to begin creating with it. To get your stamp set click the link.below. https://www.stampinup.com/products/simply-fabulous-photopolymer-stamp-set-english?demoid=2242482
As I started to plan my cards I decided that I wanted simple cards with only a layer or two. I also wanted to use the in color designer series paper specifically Orchid Oasis, Parakeet Party, and Sweet Sorbet. Of course I was determined to use the nice big bold sentiment “just saying Hello”.
I remembered that I had been contemplating different ways to use the in-colors that will be retiring now at the end of April 2023. Suddenly the light bulb went on.
Here is the first card I created.
I used Fresh Freesia cardstock and made my card base. This would be a top folding A2 card that fits perfectly in a medium envelop.
Here are other materials I used.
- A strip of Highland heather cardstock from my scrap bin. It measured ¼”x5-1/4”
- A strip of the Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper from the Sale a-bration catalog (This DSP will be unavailable after February 28, 2023.
- A piece of Highland Heather cardstock measuring 3-1/2”x3-1/4”.
- A piece of Basic White cardstock measuring 3-1/4”x3”. This is what Istamped on
- Small piece of Gorgeous Grape ribbon. Twine or any purple ribbon would work.
- The sprig of leaves stamp from the Simply Fabulos stamp set (The one that has two pointy leave on each side and one on the top).
- Soft Succulent Ink to create the wreath. (This is also an in-color that will be retiring at the end of April 2023.)
- A small scrap of Basic White cardstock that allows me to stamp three of the larger flower.
- Highland Heather Ink
- A small strip 1-1/2”x1/4” that I stamped Thank You in Highland Heather ink.
