In past years I have found myself with an extremely large amount of perfectly usable scraps of card stock, Designer Series paper, and more.
In January 2023, I made a resolution that I would use up my scraps and stash to create cards, scrapbook layouts or 3-d projects. I realize that the items I use are most likely retired or maybe I aquired them awhile back and am not sure where they came from but, I want to use as much of the scraps or stash as I can and will either donate or recycle what I can’t use. And so, as I continue in this journey I wanted to share this card I made using scraps or stash.
I decided to use a card sketch Sweet Sunday #300, These sketches are free and can be found online. They are great for inspiration and can be followed exactly or you can change them as you like.
I didn’t follow the card sketch exactly but found it so helpful .
- I used a card front layer that I hade made previously with the Lovliest Layered Decoartive Masks. These masks (stencils) retired April 2023. Any layer woulld easily work.
- The green print strip going across the top layer is from the Dandy Designs DSP from the sale a-bratin campaign that ended February 2023. (This was a free item so what a shame to not use up.)
- Of course the circle was cut using the layered circe dies. They also retired April 2023 but not to worry I have a great circle punch available in my online store. (#161354).
- The birthday sentiment came from the Framed Florets stamp set which is available in my online store (#161815).
- The flower ephemera and ribbon came from my stash bin.
- I cut from Basic White card stock (#159276), an 8-1/2″ x 11″ in half to measure 4-1/4″ x 11″. That was rotated so the long side was facing upward and scored at 5-1/2″. Thus a top folding A2 card base. This will fit in a mediumsized envelope.
Please feel free to use the card sketch and use up your scraps or even current product to create your card.
