As a child I loved playing in the snow. Living in Colorado offered so many opportunities not only to play in the snow but, to make snowmwn. So a visual of a snowman brings to mind many fond memories. Now as an adult when I think of winter I remember the fun in the snow. I always send a Holiday card with a snowman to some of my friends. Here is the one I made. You are so welcome to recreate it
Here is what I used to create this card:
- One half of a sheet of Basic White cardstock https://www.stampinup.com/products/basic-white-8-1-2-x-11-cardstock?demoid=2242482 meauring 4-1/4″ x 11″. With 11″ side facing upward score at 5-1/2″. Fold and crisp fold with bonefolder. This will be the white card base. It fits in a medium envelope.
- One piece of Balmy Blue cardstock https://www.stampinup.com/products/cardstock-8-1-2-x-11-balmy-blue?demoid=2242482 that measures 4 x5-1/4″
- A piece of Basic White cardstock that measures3-3/4″ x 5″
- A piece of Balmy Blue cardstock that measures 3-1/4″ x 4-3/4″. Then place this layer in an embossing folder – Timber 3D is a great one to use. https://www.stampinup.com/products/timber-3d-embossing-folder?demoid=2242482
- A strip of Basic White card stock that measures 3/4″ x 2-1/2″ With Memento Black stamp the sentiment “Happy Holidays” on this strip.
- With the Christmas Classics stamp set https://www.stampinup.com/products/christmas-classics-photopolymer-stamp-set-english?demoid=2242482stamp some holly leaves and berries.
- With the Deckled Circle Dies https://www.stampinup.com/products/deckled-circles-dies?demoid=2242482 and your cut and emboss machine, cut a circle out of Basic White cardstock. My circle measures 2″.
- I used a scrap of Pumpkin Pie cardstock to create a nose for my snowma’s face.
- Out of scrap Basic Black I cut a hat shape.
- With my hole punch and some Basic Black I made eyes for my snowman.
- I cut a this strip out of Real Red for the brim of the hat. I also free cut a mouth out of Real Red cardstock.

- I had some confetti snow flakes in my stash ann I just added them.
