Sometimes I need to make multiple cards and I want to use a sheet of DSP. When this happens I turn to a One sheet wonder template. The one sheet wonder template allows me to use the desired sheet of DSP with little or no wastage of the beautiful DSP.
This week the activities director is stopping by to pick up the cards I am donating to the local retirement center. In getting the cards togethher I noticed I was a little short on Christmas Cards. So, I reached for a OSW (One Sheet Wonder) template Here is the template.
Here is how I cut the 12’x12″ DSP
- If the DSP is directional then the part that is the top side is placed in the paper trimmer accordingly.
- Cut 3 strips of 3-3/4″. You should have 3 strips that measure 3-3/4″ x 12″. You will have 1 strip that measures 3/4″ x 12″
- Rotate one of the 3-3/4″ x 12″ strips so the 12″ side is facing upward on your trimmer. Cut at 5″ twice. That should leave you with 2 layers that measure 3-3/4″x5″ and 1 piece of DSP that measures 3-3/” x 2″
- Repeat these cutting directions for the other 2 strips of 3-3/44″x12″.
- You should now have 6 panels of 3-3/4″ x 5″, 3 pieces of 3-3/4″x2″ and one strip that measures 3/4″x12″.
- With the 12″ side of the 3/4″x12″ strip facing at the top of the trimmer cut at 5″ twice Now you should have 6 panels of 3-3/4″x5″, 3 pieces of DSP that measure 3-3/4″x2″ and 2 pieces of DSP that measure 3/4″x5″ and one little piece.
- I tossed my little piece.
I already had my eleven A2 card bases , layering cardstock, sentiment strips, sentiment stamps, and embellishments ready.
here are my finshed cards.
Hope try this One Sheet Wonder!
